Mental Health and well-Being
International Conference on Mental Health & Well-Being
Uniting Mexico’s Mental Health Expertise with Global Perspectives
Mexico will benefit significantly from the expertise of international speakers by gaining clear insights into the challenges and successes other countries have faced while building and strengthening their mental health, suicide prevention systems as well as addiction prevention and treatment programs . Through shared advances in research, policy, and practice, Mexico can identify evidence-based strategies that have proven effective elsewhere and avoid common obstacles such as gaps in access, coordination, or stigma. Cross-national and cross-sector dialogue will support stronger collaboration among clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders, helping Mexico align its efforts more efficiently. Learning how other nations have adapted prevention and post-vention systems to their cultural contexts will guide the development of culturally relevant strategies tailored to Mexican and Latin American communities, while the inclusion of lived experience and youth perspectives will ensure these approaches are grounded in real needs. Overall, this exchange of international knowledge will enable Mexico to improve practical, actionable recommendations that strengthen prevention, improve responses after suicide, and build a more resilient and responsive mental health system.
After helping numeous at risk people in Canada, Canadian Suicide prevention team is also bringing the Course on Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention Tool to Mexico. For more information. Click the button below.
